Judging & scoring
Every entry is scored out of 100 against the same nine criteria. AI assesses each criterion from your structured answers and evidence and records a rationale; the awards panel reviews and confirms every result before release. Criteria without supporting evidence are capped, so verifiable submissions score higher.
Quality of construction & workmanship
Finish quality, defect and snag performance, QA/QC discipline and durability of the delivered work.
Evidence: Photos, 60-second walkthrough video, defect closure rate, QA/QC records
Speed of construction
Delivered output rate against a realistic benchmark for the building type and scale.
Evidence: Contract vs actual duration, floor cycle time or output per month
On-time or early completion
Actual handover measured against the contract completion date, net of granted extensions of time.
Evidence: Contract completion date, actual handover / CPC date, EOT record
Cost & commercial control
Final account discipline, variation control and commercial transparency with the client.
Evidence: Contract sum vs final account, variation value, claims record
Safety & wellbeing
Incident performance per man-hour, safety leadership and worker welfare standards.
Evidence: LTIFR, man-hours worked, incident log, training hours, welfare provisions
Technical complexity & problem solving
Difficulty of the work and the quality of engineering and site solutions applied.
Evidence: Written response, method statements, photos of the solution in place
Sustainability & environmental impact
Measured environmental performance: certification, materials, waste and energy.
Evidence: Green certification, waste diversion %, embodied carbon or energy data
Client satisfaction & stakeholder outcome
Verified client view of the delivery experience and the outcome handed over.
Evidence: Client reference letter or scored client survey
Innovation, digital & workforce development
Digital delivery, modern methods and investment in local capability.
Evidence: BIM/technology use, modular methods, training and local hiring data

80+Outstanding delivery with clear evidence.

70+Strong, well-evidenced performance.
Certificate of Participation
60+60–69: recognised participation below the award threshold.
Special recognition
Alongside category results, the highest-scoring entries on individual criteria receive special recognition certificates for Quality of Construction & Workmanship, Speed of Construction, and On-Time or Early Completion. These are drawn from the same scores, so no separate entry is required.
